This is a hidden gem in London. Seriously! We booked late and most hotels in Covent Garden were sold out and those available were absolutely tiny or with NO WINDOWS. This hotel is in Southwark and it is not far - a simple walk across Tower Bridge and youre right in the city or use the myriad of tube and bus stations within 5min walking distance from the hotel. The price and the value is unbelievable. The location is perfect - not too busy like central London (if you know London), but busy enough to keep you entertained. Right next to Borough Street Market with the Thames just behind it. Parking is sufficient. The staff are excellent and super friendly! The decor is wonderful with an old time cinema feel. Lights, camera, action. We loved it and so did our teenage daughters. Every detail is carefully thought out up to the fresh popcorn and refreshment upon check-in. The rooms are standard size with a desk and cupboard on the smaller side. Beds were super comfy and we enjoyed the silence - I could not hear the girls in the next room and no banging doors. Granted, there is no spa or pool or fancy restaurants and dinners, but I would stay there again in a heartbeat. We stayed in higher paying hotels in London that did not offer the basic amenities such as an iron, hairdryer, toiletries, coffee etc. and this hotel did. I keep saying this, but for a budget hotel including breakfast - I was impressed.

Very beautiful hotel - exceptionally stylish and cool. Very clean! Open 24H - so good! The breakfast is very tasty and fresh - a good assortment of food. I got a quiet room and was very happy about that The air conditioning - was a bit loud, but not badly. It was surprisingly spacious, much cleaner, and tidier than I'd expected. The bath was very clean, functional, and comfortable Iron and kettle and tea bags meant a great deal to me I loved the wise idea of not putting three different pairs of towels - it's useless. The towels that actually have been put in the bathroom - were big, clean, and functional The location is very good for those who want to stay near Borough market - like 3 minutes walking and you are in the middle of a festival. It is not located in the shopping center of London, so you have to get there by Tube. And this is the only little inconvenience - the Tube is a bit of walking (abt 10 min). There are buses though :) BUT! The price is great and the quietness is priceless I loved the hotel and definitely recommend it.

The room, with a view of the Shard, and bathroom made good use of the space. The bathroom was particularly well-planned and the shower, lights, tv, kettle etc all worked as they should. The bed was comfortable - my partner appreciated the extra pillow which he found in the wardrobe; the sound-proofing was very good and the bedside lights were great. I wanted something to eat when we checked in around 7pm; the hotel doesn't have a restaurant (though I could have used the one in the Novotel next door) so I used the 'Wendy' service to order a burger online, to be collected from the breakfast room. I had the beanburger which I was able to customise as I didn't fancy the pickles or mayo. Good, fresh food at breakfast (continental style) and pleasant, efficient staff who cleared tables quickly.

Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was very clean and decor was bright and interesting, none of the boring white/cream/grey you so often see. Our room had the most fabulous view of the Shard! General atmosphere of hotel was nice, busy at breakfast but very quiet at night. Loads of art around the public areas which was lovely and added character. Breakfast was continental with vegan friendly option, dairy alternatives, and very fresh and tasty. Loads of cold fresh water available to take to your room or to fill up water bottles to take out with you. Location was ideal being only a few minutes walk from London Bridge stations.

Fiona

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The whole decor was fun and very eclectic, and very warm and inviting. Our room was a bit small, but comfortable and clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant next door was great and had a good selection. The breakfast which was included was great with the best croissants, pastries, and also deli meats and cheeses, baked breads, and juices, coffees and teas. The location was close to local tranportation and a short taxi ride to all the highlights.
